What “in good standing” means

The badge isn’t a guarantee — it’s a baseline.

A designee in good standing has completed the FedEd Academy™ curriculum, passed the proctored RFBS℠ exam, signed the RFBS℠ Code of Ethics, paid their annual maintenance fee, and is current on continuing education. That is meaningful — and it is also the minimum.

It does not replace your own due diligence on the designee’s other licenses, regulatory record, services, fees, and conflicts of interest. The questions-to-ask checklist on the “What is an RFBS℠?” page is a useful starting point.

Active

The designee is current on all program requirements and listed in the directory.

Suspended

The designation has been temporarily suspended pending resolution of a program matter.

Revoked or inactive

The designation has been revoked, voluntarily relinquished, or has lapsed.

See something wrong?

If you believe an advisor is using the RFBS℠ mark but is not (or is no longer) in good standing, or if you have a concern about a designee’s conduct, please submit a complaint. We treat reports confidentially and acknowledge them within five business days.

A note on launch-phase results.

The RFBS℠ registry is in its initial activation phase. Designees are being onboarded as they complete the FedEd Academy™ curriculum and execute the RFBS℠ Designee Agreement. If you expect to find someone here and don’t, please contact the program so we can confirm their status directly.
