Why a specialized credential?

Federal benefits aren’t like the private sector.

FERS, the Thrift Savings Plan, FEGLI, FEHB, and Social Security coordination follow rules most advisors never encounter. An RFBS℠ has been trained specifically on how those rules actually work.

Trained, not just titled

Every RFBS℠ completes the FedEd Academy™ program — a structured curriculum on federal benefits — and passes a proctored exam before earning the designation.

Continuously current

RFBS℠ designees complete continuing education every two years and operate under a published Code of Ethics with a defined disciplinary process.

No pay-to-play leads

We don’t sell client inquiries to specialists. The designation is earned through education — not bought through lead fees.

For federal employees

Get clarity on the decisions that matter most.

Retirement date modeling. TSP withdrawal sequencing. FEGLI vs. private term. FEHB into Medicare. Survivor benefits. Special provisions for LEO, FF, ATC. An RFBS℠ has trained on all of it.

A note on what the RFBS℠ designation is — and isn’t

The RFBS℠ designation indicates specialized training in federal employee benefits. It does not, on its own, authorize an advisor to manage investments, prepare tax returns, or draft legal documents — the services any individual RFBS℠ can provide depend on the other licenses and credentials they hold. The Federal Government does not favor, endorse, or recommend any individual, company, or product listed in this directory.
